Just monstrous CPU consumption (and this is in a thin laptop!) And at the same time shameful speed for i9 and extremely slow ram speed, which can be seen immediately from AIDA64 tests.

The noise is such that there is no talk of any comfort in a balanced profile.

The keyboard is a separate shame for Asus in a huge 18" laptop. It was clearly saved on it for unification with younger lines. What prevented you from installing a keyboard like that of the Thinkpad T16, only with an even wider Esc, F1..F12 by height, with so much space?

The screen on this laptop is also a shame. What the hell is 2.5k at 18"? It should have the same screen as in MSI Titan 2023 with 4k@120Hz. Moreover, 240Hz is a complete fake here - the matrix in reality is still the same 120Hz in terms of response speed.

The price should be 2 times lower for someone to decide to buy this "miracle" ...

The price is so wild that if you buy this product for games - you are clearly out of your mind. Buy a desktop and get 1.5 times more fps for less money, much less noise and much higher reliability and many times more upgradeability. And also at least 192GB of memory, not 64, as in laptops.

Why do they only use 4800 MHz Ram?
Lenovo Legion shippes their i7 with 5600 MHz.

MHz is not sufficient information. Depending on several factors, lower MHz can sometimes mean faster RAM.

I didn't get what you mean by 240Hz is a complete fake here - the matrix in reality is still the same 120Hz in terms of response speed. Can you please explain in lay terms for noobs like us who are seriously considering buying this laptop?
And, in your view is the Raider GE78 better than G18 as a wholesome work & gaming laptop?

The display refresh frequency, such as 240Hz, is how often per second the display claims to show the user a new picture by technically trying to refresh the contents that fast.

Each display response time (one for black / white, one for grey) is how fast the display can actually change its displayed contents. This display has the response times 8.62 ms and 5.41 ms. The slower of these two is 8.62 ms so we continue to consider it. ms is milli seconds or s/1000.

Since the display can actually change its displayed contents every 8.62 ms, per 1 second (that is, per 1000 milli seconds) it can show new contents 1000 / 8.62 ~= 116 times.

Therefore, the display should declare to have the refresh frequency 116 Hz visible for the user.

The 240 Hz may be technically true but what the user sees is 116 Hz. Hence, 240 Hz is a marketing trick. Honest selling should declare 116 Hz.
