Tesla has been granted big Austin Gigafactory expansion permits by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the majority of which seem to be referring to battery-making facilities. The Model Y with the cell-to-pack 4680 battery is assembled there, so there could be a huge production boost in that direction.
