Speaking at an innovation conference in China, the executive attributed this international success to MIUI. Yep, in Europe the A1/A2 were a hit because it was decent HW, decent price and no MIUI.
Xiaomi decided to kill it, to try to get more people into the MIUI ecosystem.
It's not "thanks to MIUI"... it's "in spite of MIUI".
