Title: Updated PS5 Pro specifications leak results in twice the PlayStation 5 performance despite alleged CPU status quo
Post by: Redaktion on August 24, 2023, 20:13:28
A couple of leaks concerning the expected PlayStation 5 Pro console have turned up, resulting in some contrasting news in regard to the device's so-called Viola APU. It seems the PS5 Pro specifications will leave it with around twice the GPU compute performance of the PlayStation 5 despite still sporting a Zen 2-based CPU component.

They could have a 4090 in the but that doesn't change the fact that developers have to develop games that work properly on the standard hardware. A pretty midweek might get you a bit more stable frame rate or push you to 120fps mode instead of 60 but it's not going to be drastically different. The games will still look and mostly play the same.

Yeah I agree. The reason we're not seeing the dramatic difference from ps4 to ps5 is because the developers making the games aren't going forward enough. They're still making cross gen games which is holding back the new gen consoles. It's time to move forward and leave the last gen behind. It's holding back gaming by alot. It's too bad. We should be wayy ahead in gaming by now being almost year 3 now. Gotta leave the last gen behind. If you don't have a new gen console thats a you problem. Devs need to take the step forward finally.

You don't understand. You develop games to earn money. You don't earn money if your game only supports new gen, when more than 2/3 of console gaming population is still on the last gen and will move gradually over next few years. You could easily tank your business if you don't develop for last gen too. Unless your game is gta6 or Witcher 4, there is no chance you will make living by developing for new gen only... Also PS5 is here 3 years, yes, but was not mostly available in stores...

All this means is AMD will have FSR3 in PS 5 Pro to deliver fake frames. Worthless.
