Qualcomm is adding new SoCs — S3 (QCC307x) and S5 (QCC517x) — to its Sound Platform. The new Sound Platforms support Hi-Res Bluetooth Audio and also LE Audio along with stereo recording for earbuds, 68 ms low-latency gaming mode, and 3rd gen Adaptive ANC.

This seems intriguing. Might be able to actually watch videos and game over BT finally (though I'd still prefer a dongle since BT has always been problematic, but would be nice to have the option), and the ability to use a few base stations space out around the house to be able to wander without losing the signal would be handy.
