Banana Pi has finally started selling the BPI-W3, an SBC based around the Rockchip RK3588 with 8 GB of RAM. However, the BPI-W3 has received a major redesign since last year's preview, with Banana Pi including a system-on-module and an M.2 Key M slot, among other changes.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Banana-Pi-BPI-W3-New-single-board-computer-launches-with-major-changes-from-original-showcase.717275.0.html
Someone needs to create a RK3588 board with a built-in ESP32 wifi module, leaving the M.2. slot free for expansion. The lack of WiFi is the biggest architectural mistake in the RK3588. Baseband circuity would have been trivial to add, i don't know why they didn't bother?
