Initial indications from a reliable leaker suggest that Xiaomi will pitch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra among this year's most expensive smartphones when it launches globally. Supposedly, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will retail in Europe for nearly 90% more than in China, with a 75% uplift for the reputed sole 512 GB variant.

This is all just silly.
Anyway... hope people won't buy it, to at least discourage these prices a bit.

Confusing as all. "75% uplift". If something is being compared to something else, do tell what the respective things are. 'it costs 75% more than some other different thing, which is a lot!'

From the article:

QuoteAdditionally, the nearest Xiaomi 13 Ultra memory configuration sells for CNY 6,499 (€856) in China, which also has 16 GB of RAM. No 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage configuration is available in China.

Look how thick the phone is.... remember when the dumb folks out there said removing the headphone jack would allow phones to be thinner... nah that was a lie... phones got thicker after they removed headphone jacks... that was a scam to push TWS

Well yeah and it was obvious to anyone with IQ higher than room temperature. Same thing goes with removable batteries ("Phones will become sturdier and better built!!") and many other things.

Actually just think about it - not that long ago it was normal to have microSD slot, removable battery, 3.5 mm jack and IrDA. Then that all got removed because, as officially explained to 🐑🐑🐑🐑, those are features for power users. So fu*k me, EVERYONE was a power user then some 10 years ago, eh? 🙄

Oh yeah, btw, speaking of thin phones... Huawei Ascend P6 was extremely think back in 2013 at just 6.2 mm at its thickest point, that's even super-thin for today's standards - and that same P6 was rocking a 3.5 mm jack just fine.
