The 768p touchscreen is so bad that tablet mode is rendered almost unusable. This type of display has no right to be on any laptop retailing for this high of a price. Save your $1000 for a HP Envy or Spectre instead.

Ha ha ha, love the article title, says it all!
It is obvious the price has been padded for the "insurance".
I bought an HP for my daughter for $250 with a 1080 IPS screen. I didn't even know HP did TN anymore since this low-end one had an IPS.
Wanna waste 1000$ on Dell? 4gb of ram in 2020.... On 2010 spend 600$ got laptop with 4gb, 10years later need to pay even more, and i3 cpu... Shame
You've clearly been ripped off!
This article has links to the laptop showing a sales price of $365.
I also find these display panels in their Pentium N series laptops, going for $160-170.
I don't think the issue was HP, but rather the sales channel ripped you off.
I have the same PC, and bought it for less than $800.
Works great.
I own the HP Pavilion x360 laptop. I bought it when that model.came.out a few years ago and at that ti.e I paid $500 for the laptop and another $500 for specialty software. So yes I spent $1000 on a customized x360 and I love my 2 in 1
I bought this laptop for work, it's barely a year old and I've had to disable the touch screen driver because it randomly "senses input" all along a vertical line on one side of the screen. It's a decent laptop as a whole, but the touch screen feature is garbage.
HP is trash company. I bought laptop with dual graphic card and hp never updated driver I got stuck using Intel display adapter and my AMD discrete card became waste. While asking support with HP they put everything over AMD's head and AMD says that's HP fault
My Wonderful wife bought me an HP Omen gaming laptop for Christmas 2019. I got 3 days use out of it (and only got to install my programs) when the display crashes and would not turn back on. HP sent me packaging materials on Jan 2, 2020 and Promptly sent it in, was supposed to get it back Jan 8, 2020. Jan 8th comes and I get a text saying it's delayed till Jan 31 due to a parts shortage, very unhappy at this point so I call them and they offer me a refurbished unit as a replacement for the brand new unit... No, I opted to wait. Jan 31 comes and HP is ghosting me, but Feb 5 I get an email saying my computer will be delayed until Feb 28 due to further parts shortage.. HP is fucking garbage these days.. Oh how I wish my Sony Vaio was still alive... Lasted me 6 years of semi-rough usage.
HP is the worst laptop company you can waste your thousands of dollars on.. i never comment online but seeing that so many ppl have similar issues i thought I'd share my experience too.
HP envy laptop suddenly not turning on after the shutdown..
Product: Envy 17" Touchscreen
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)
Bough expensive HP envy 17" touchscreen laptop a year and 3 months ago. Took care of this laptop really well since i had all my study material on it. 2 days after the yearly warranty ended the audio jack gave up. 2.5 months after the warranty ended i shutdown my laptop and next morning turned on to see hp blank screen with circle processing and computer giving "chu chu" noises. May be the hard disk gave up all of a sudden.. I'm a medical student and had tons of important files and have exams coming up.. why do hp products start breaking right after their yearly warranty end? Happened to my other laptop too (its screen gave up).. not to mention the immense time it has wasted. My Sony vaio has been working for 9 years and still going.. my technician told me HP contracted with a cheap harddisk company HGST and they've been making crap harddrives.
Any how i won't be buying HP laptops ever again.. no wonder HP doesn't has any retail or tech shops. They know in 2 days either there gonna be long lines outside their doors with ppl returning their hp electronics or their store windows will be broken due to all the money and valuable time hp has been wasting their customers.
Hp was s***, is s***, and will be s***. As sad as it is, its true hp products are crap.
Love my HP stuff, it hasn't failed me yet. Also we had some HPs when I was little, and they lasted ten years..
I just bout an HP 360x Pavilion in November and have used it only three times before it caught fire and burnt my fiancée.
Called the number SAMs Club provided on the documentation regarding the 2 year extended warranty but the man did not understand English.
It was over $800 and I am pissed! Does anyone have any insight or advice to help me? Anything would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at
[email protected], I would greatly appreciate it!
Ghastly design. Is this supposed to be appealing to dumbass consumers?
HP is great when you know what you're doing.
Bought a $170 Intel Pentium N5000 laptop, with 2GB of DDR4, and Windows S, as well as a netbook with an N3060 CPU. Both I upgraded the ram to 4gb.
Sadly the netbook didn't have the disk space to upgrade windows with, so it's my main Linux machine now.
The N5000 I'm running with a single 16GB ram stick, disabled swap and hibernation, and upgraded the windows to a full home edition. It all runs fine!
Bad pricing + Bad TN panel with bad everything including resolution:
=HP: His Piss has 1 the aword for teh wurst device of tventy 9teen!
vey (didn't) tryd
