A well-known Weibo leaker says that Huawei will reportedly refresh its MateBook lineup with AMD Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors soon. They could arrive as early as March 2021,  as Huawei is no longer allowed to purchase Intel chips.

Their MateBook 14 AMD 2020 are already very good laptops at an impressive price.
I'm guessing they'll just replace the 4000 series with the 5000 series, maybe some minor tweaks and that's it.

Matebook 14 could've been a lot better, had they offered it with LPDDRX 4266 instead of DDR4 2666MHz. They got the screen right, but they could've offered a HS variant of 4800u variant for those who want better battery life.
The webcam is in an awkward position as well.
The air vents aren't placed in the best place either.
Despite all it's shortcomings, it's actually one of the few decent renoir laptops if you exclude the yoga slim 7 and zephyrus g14.
