Title: Dell Latitude 7400 2-in-1 (i7-8665U) Convertible Review
Post by: Redaktion on June 04, 2019, 11:20:42
Dell's premium business models have never been more XPS-like, but with the sweeping changes come significant challenges. With its Core i7-8665U CPU, 16 GB RAM, and NVMe SSD, the $2,800 Latitude 7400 2-in-1 certainly isn't slow, but can it take the heat? Let's find out.

Over $2,000 and they still can't put normal-sized arrow keys on it... I also don't understand why nobody but Lenovo will put pointing sticks on their laptops; the patent ran out two or three years ago. With a better (brighter) screen and at least full-sized arrow keys, this would probably be a great option, but instead, like so many laptops lately, it's mediocre at best. Not to mention the unfortunate trend of soldering RAM. I just can't believe that saves that much space.

Pretty sure plenty put pointing sticks on their laptop, I have an HP and it has a pointing stick. My toshiba prior had it too. And some dells have it. You gotta look at the business laptops instead of the consumer ones.

This laptop is junk.
It goes to 100C CPU and 60C on the bottom of the case when playing Candy Crush, FFS!
I've had to run throttlestop to slow it down because whatever you do doesn't work.
The thermal solution is poor?
Dead right.
Anything that looks like a game will kill this.
