Title: GTA V Benchmarked
Post by: Redaktion on April 22, 2015, 06:40:11
Better late than never. Barely 1.5 years after the Last-Gen edition, GTA V is finally released for the PC. We tested it on multiple notebooks, to see if the wait was worth it.

You tested a lot of nVidia Hardware. But how optimal will the game on AMD Settings? Need more numbers for the AMD Team there!

GTA V do not run on mobile AMD graphics at all. Just look here:

Hello, I don't see the geforce gt720m here so I ask : will I have 30-40 fps but in low settings (not like the gt740)? I have a 1to hdd, i3 4gb (1.8 ghz)

Hello,

The GT 720M is quite outdated especially for gaming. It's unlikely you would reach a steady 30 FPS even on the lowest settings or if you do, it would be short-lived due to the very narrow memory bus

Okay, thank you for answer ! Do you think the GT630m is better than the GT720m ?

What are the specs of those systems with integrated GFX?
RAM configuration, size, CPU L3 cache size, no. of cores and iGFX turbo frequency - all that matters for precise evaluation. Simply stating "weaker intel chips are not appropriate to run GTA V" isn't quite doing it its justice.  :o
HD4000 can outperform easily even today's low-end dedicated ones (HD7570M), BUT only on quad-core systems with 16GB dual-channel memory and clocked on 1300MHz.  :)

I can't understand with my  Samsung Series 7 Chronos 770Z7E with i7 3635QM and AMD Radeon HD 8870m (same as r9 m270x) which is slightly better than a gt750m I can't get above 25 fps in 1024x768 and I'm pretty sure the GPU is on.

For comparison I can run Watchdogs smoothly on high in 1920x1080 and Just Cause 2 maxed out
