In an interesting development, CPU arch rivals Intel and AMD have collaborated together to create a unique new entrant to Intel's 8th generation CPU family — a combination of an Intel H-series chip coupled to a...wait for it...a custom AMD Radeon GPU with HBM2 memory!

Mehhh, only for premium line ups. I'd say Apple as the initiator of this move and some high end laptop like XPS will get this.
The most ridiculous thing is AMD themselves don't have/haven't announced this setup (GPU + HBM) in their line up yet. We've only seen some unappealing RR APU models.

Well, it depends on what AMD's plans are. We still don't know any specifics about the new CPU so I wouldn't hold my breath on any comparisons right now. Also, this collaboration is between the Radeon Technologies Group and Intel. RTG is pretty much open to outside collaborations like how they did for the Xbox and PS. Its not necessary that whatever RTG does will translate into mainstream AMD offerings.
