Intel took to stage at the OCP Global Summit 2019 to announce new Xeon Scalable platforms for servers based on the upcoming Cascade Lake and Cooper Lake architectures. The new Xeon Scalable processors will now be available in four and eight-socket reference designs later this year. Cooper Lake will also integrate the Bfloat 16 format that is being developed in collaboration with Facebook for accelerating AI applications.
