Previously rescheduled for a September launch, the Mate X may end up launching this August, at least in China. This possibility is backed by the recent TENAA certification, which also reveals that the mate X will integrate an 8-inch AMOLED display with 2,480 x 2,200 resolution, plus a ToF sensor along with a 40 + 16 + 8 MP rear cam setup and an 8 MP selfie cam.

It's really awesome to hear that Huawei is still moving through with the Mate X, despite the US bans this summer. But, I'm pretty sure the Mate X is expected to pack the Hisilicon Kirin 980, or 985, as the Snapdragon series is a chipset Huawei usually won't release in their products. Glad to hear there's a somewhat soon release date though!
