LG is notorious for being late with software updates and it's been the same story with the Pie rollout. The company is actually keeping to its promise this time around, though, as the LG V40 ThinQ begins to receive the Android Pie update. The V30 and V20 are expected to get theirs in the coming months.

I might be drunk or something but I am sure the G8 already has Pie. I always thought G8 came out with android 9.0

You're not drunk.
Love pie on my LG v40. The only thing/disappointment is or I can't find is activating battery saving dark mode on system menus and phone.
The g8 launched with it as soon as you turn it on. It updates
What about the G7 thinq
Screw LG. I just switched from my V30 to the OnePlus 7 pro due to LGs horrid update policy. My V30 on Tmobile is still on 8.0 with a March security update. The Oneplus is a much better phone overall and will actually get updates.
