The two-year old GE63 is getting a full-on makeover with a new, thinner chassis based on the 17.3-inch GE75. MSI is promising better ventilation and faster wireless performance with the 802.11ax Killer WLAN. The announcement coincides with the recent reveal of the GT76 flagship.

GE75 had an MSRP of $2200, but no Thunderbolt. Unacceptable to not have it in a laptop of that price. GE65 is essentially the same laptop but smaller, so I'm expecting the same.
They shouldn't leave out basic features like that on higher end laptops - especially at that price point.
The TB3 chip itself has an MSRP of less than $10 on Intel's site. If less expensive laptops can figure out how to implement it and still make a profit, surely MSI and other gaming laptop vendors can.
