Huawei is on the verge of selling Honor for US$15.2 billion, according to Reuters. Due to be sold by as early as Sunday to a consortium, the sale would free Honor of the hindrance of the sanctions that the US government currently imposes on Huawei.

Buying Honor could secure the future of xiaomi even further since Honor shared r&d with huawei, especially in camera department. Even if most of the IPs will likely stays at huawei, acquiring some of their engineer would give them tremendous leap, or it's just an empty shell of the former product.
