How nice, an extra year for that jacked-up price that offers nothing from its predecessor but Apple doubles that and more. GREAT DEAL! 😏

Apple can offer 20years support but I have zero interest in buying something with a notch screen. Perhaps you might have low enough standards to accept that.

Obviously, standards don't matter at all anymore for you to justify an inferior product (when the likes of Xiaomi beating you... uhmm... damn!) so-called upgrade that will become e-waste before or around, give a take, when aupport ends.

Sony has announced the Xperia 1 IV, its first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. While not an overhaul from the Xperia 1 III, the Xperia 1 IV features a larger battery than its predecessor and a superior telephoto camera. Reputedly, the 8x telephoto camera delivers true optical zoom too with an adjustable 85-125 mm equivalent focal length.
