The year 2018 is coming to a close. Time for new ThinkPad laptops: With the ThinkPad E490 and the ThinkPad E590, the first models of the upcoming generation have surfaced on sites of Korean registration-offices.

Title: I love me a ThinkPad

I own 5 ThinkPads at the moment: an X250, X260, T450s, T460s and a T470. I also have a T470p and T480 at work (work issued laptops).

I wish I could afford brand spanking new ThinkPad X or T  or P series laptops, but I can't. This is why I always purchase secondhand ThinkPads - usually a couple of generations old. They're cheap, and usually still come with Lenovo's awesome warranty.

A year has passed, so they must sell a new model? Even if it is the same as before? Besides the insignificant upgrade of the processor, and upgrading to a normal network card I do not see the big difference, the errors in the E480 design are repeated here too.
They need to add more than 2 PCIe lanes for the NVMe to resolve the performance problems similar to SATA, really give USB C Gen 2, fix the minimal cooling system that rely on Intel's false TDP spec, causing the fan work frequently, and maybe this time give a good screen which is more than IPS on paper.

Of course, except for these points, this laptop is excellent and worth its price.
