Title: Huawei does an Apple in a disagreement with Tencent over revenue sharing on the AppGallery
Post by: Redaktion on January 01, 2021, 19:08:55
Huawei had reportedly removed all Tencent games from its first-party mobile app market, AppGallery, following an objection from the software giant as to how much of the takings it retained from sales of the app in question. This remuneration structure has also led to disagreements between the OEM and other developers.

IIRC when they just launched the Appgallery they made headlines by only asking for a...20% cut? Now look at them, even more greedy than Apple, and that really says something. I've always known that to be their true nature, of course.
It's also pretty amusing that Tencent dares to stand up to Huawei, both from a marketing perspective and a political perspective.
