Title: The OnePlus 7T trade in program is a joke
Post by: Redaktion on November 21, 2019, 15:14:41
Want to lose money quickly? Well, the OnePlus 7T trade-in scheme would be a good way to go about it. You can get up to US$370 in credit for trading-in a 256 GB OnePlus 7 Pro, a quite frankly ludicrous amount of money for a six-month-old US$799 handset.

Wake me up when there's a trade in that's not a joke :)

I think the top trade-in value would be from either a 5G or a McLaren 7 Pro.

Samsung runs fairly decent promotions in honesty. While my S10+ is only valued at $550 if I were to trade it in today for a Note 10, I also only paid about $720 at launch for it after I factored in all the launch promotions. A $170 depreciation isn't too bad for six months, and in honesty, $550 is about how much the S10+ fetches on the used market anyway.

I guess it depends where you buy it then, in more tightly regulated markets it makes sense, but where fetching Korean or HK versions are easy, those are much cheaper than the official price which doesn't drop for quite some time.
