HP's lowest-end laptops are getting better and better these days with Core i7 CPUs, 1080p IPS displays, 16 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6, and even NVMe SSDs much like their pricier Envy or Spectre counterparts.

Thanks for the thorough review. Quick question ... I entered my information as indicated in the article, but the price comes up as $639. Thoughts? Thank you ...
Looked at first like a great value but laptops based on AMD's Ryzen 7 4700U are looking even better.
Intel should be worried with AMD's processors performing so well at their price point.
Pls help me, were can I get it I need 12 of it at list 7 for team it really urgent, i will really appreciate if you help me.
This just destroyed the Ryzen laptops. 40% faster single core performance and on par multiple core performance, and faster graphics than any Ryzen laptops without external graphics 🤦🏽♂️
The source shows it at $750 :-\
Nope, doesn't work, followed the instructions to the letter, comes out to $786.99! Trust me, I would LOVE this laptop for $589 as I have been looking for the best deal for several months and don't appreciate your misleading and false article. >:(
It worked for me! 539.00 +tax
So happy!
Ok, I did *not* follow the instructions and I got everything with a 256GB SSD for only $550! Am I dreaming???
Dude. How about a sku to start with.
I got it to 589 but you have to use also coupon code 5STACKBFCM21 that gives extra 15% off only thing you upgrade is ram to 16 and wifi to 6 but I also upgrade memory from 128 to 256 and my total is 639

You sure about that? Because I actually read the review for the Ice Lake variant, and its GPU performs 40% slower than the best Ice Lake devices and 31% off the average. The upshot is that running Tiger Lake in this thing will get you marginally better results than AMD's chips in synthetics, and worse results in actual games. The CPU performance was way off the pace, too, so who knows how that will look with Tiger's ~50W boost in play.
All that in a system with rubbish sRGB coverage, loud fans, tinny speakers, and sod-all ports.
So much for AMD being "destroyed".
is it backlit?
