Title: HP ZBook 14u G6 laptop review: The mobile workstation has problems with performance
Post by: Redaktion on October 10, 2019, 07:35:29
With the ZBook 14u G6, Hewlett Packard delivers a mobile workstation that offers good input devices and a great display. In addition, there's also a docking port, good battery life and a Thunderbolt 3 port. However, the laptop isn't able to fully develop its computing power.

As someone who has been using a 14u g6 for 2 years and supports them in a corporate environment, I just have to say, these are lackluster and have poor performance under even a moderately low load.  The CPU throttles whenever any load is put on the GPU.  Having the discrete Radeon GPU is useless in this system.  Quick frankly, compared to the laptop it replaced (A Dell 7490), it's a huge letdown. Unfortunately, my company buys laptops by the thousands every year and we have enough of these in the enterprise that it keeps us busy answering user complaints of poor performacnce.
