Microsoft is preparing to release a revised version of Task Manager, which is yet to receive a Windows 11 lick of paint. The new Task Manager is already hiding in the latest beta versions of Microsoft's operating system, and a developer has already shared screenshots of it.

Would expect nothing less from MS than to overhaul task manager after years of it being a giant POS, all while a significantly better alternative (Process Explorer) has existed, and of course it's riddle with issues and likely will be through its entire existence. And yet, they won't do something much simpler and better, which is to just build Process Explorer into Windows and get rid of the garbage that is Task Manager, which is worse than useless due to reporting *completely* wrong info.
