Should really change your rating system - as it stands now, this notebook that is not recommended gets a "good" rating".
Don't know when this was written but DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! I have owned a dozen different laptops and this is by far the least capable, slowest, most frustrating product - of any kind - that i have ever owned!!! In fact, I have owned 2 other Acers, both very good experiences. This 5250 is so bad, I will not ever buy another Acer...in fact if I was offered one for free I'd turn it down.
I've had my aspire 5250 for about a year and four months and still runs just fine. I purchased it in November 2011. I paid $199 for it. Overall it has been a good deal.

i've bought a brand new acer aspire 5250 750 g8 hdd , amd dual core e-300 in 2011 for 400 EURO and to my surprise there was no HDMI and no Bluetooth!!!!
