Title: HP Omen 17 reviewed: The gaming notebook fails to arouse enthusiasm
Post by: Redaktion on October 04, 2022, 11:58:22
The HP Omen 17 shows what the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and the Intel Core i7 12700 H bring to the table in terms of performance. But not only the internals are of importance: the exterior of the gaming laptop is not very well designed for the European market.

I got this Omen 17 model.
Its a power machine, but it has 3 issues:
1) Adapter weight... It almost makes the laptop not a portable device.
2) The keyboard is awful. It doesn't have numeral keys at the right of it. Also the mousepad has problems. You should press the click twice or deep to make it respond.
3) Battery life never get to 2 hours if you make the GPU work.
4) Sometimes the card-slot does not recognize a SD card. And Sometimes if you attach an external SSD via usb, suddenly it loses connection with that hardrive.
