The display specialists TCL has reported its sales performance for the first quarter of 2020 (1Q2020). This company sold 6.73 million of its TVs during this period. This figure was down by approximately 20% year-on-year (YoY), however, which was attributed to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

I was really looking forward to the release of the 2020 TCL Series 8 Vidrian with mini-LEDs.  Given what was shown at this year's CES, this was the TV I was anxiously waiting to buy.

That was then, and this is now.

Given China's actions that has led to a global pandemic, selling faulty test kits around the world, and selling medical equipment to Italy that Italy had generously donated to China when the virus was still only affecting China, I will definitely NOT be buying a Chinese TV, or any other product from China.

Whenever possible, I will not be financing the Chinese communists.  They are no different now than they were in 1949.  They are no different than the communists of North Korea.  They are no different than the communists of Cuba.   And they are no different than the communists of Venezuela.

The Chinese communists will never change as long as the rest of the world supports them by buying their goods.

I am grateful I figured this out before purchasing a $2500 TV.
