The Redmi Note 8 was released in India with a starting price of Rs 9,999 (US$130). Xiaomi has slowly byt steadily increased the MSRP of the phone over the past few months with the latest—the fifth of such—putting the phone's price tag at Rs 12,499 (US$165).

Nobody would buy Note 8 at this price.

Making ground for the launch price for Redmi Note 9 of atleast Rs.12,500/-
Earlier I was going to buy Note 9, but not now.
