Title: LG Velvet with more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1000C chip comes to T-Mobile
Post by: Redaktion on September 04, 2020, 13:34:21
US carrier T-Mobile has announced what is a more powerful variant of the LG Velvet. The new version of the device eschews a Qualcomm chip in favor of the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000C which features four high-performance Cortex A-76 cores versus just the two in the normal Snapdragon 765G-powered devices.

This appears as a much better value; unfortunately T-mobile phones have a special SIM unlock system that is much more costly to perform.

Could you please elaborate on the SIM unlock process? This is news to me; I was planning on using this phone on T-mobile for a few months before going to Mint Mobile. From what Consumer Reports says, unlocking is free and it will be no change for me to unlock this device. From what i understand it has all the 4G and 5G T-mobile bands I could ever want. Would really appreciate your input!
