Title: On a wing and a prayer? LG 'Wing' shows it is willing to give anything a try to see what sticks

LG has been trying for years to make a buck out of smartphones but the company's mobile division continues to generate losses. A report out of Korea indicates that it is working on a new smartphone with a literal twist where the main screen rotates into a horizonal position with a hidden secondary vertical display offering additional functionality.

That's...at least really good for typing, everybody wants more horizontal real estate but not really typing in landscape mode, this solves everything, at least in terms of word processing.

Lg's implementation in hardware is good. Hope it works, the market needs better competition

I miss the days when manufacturers actually tried stuff instead of delivering generic slabs. That said, why would anyone want a 2nd screen virtual keyboard? Why not a physical keyboard?

Better yet, how about an actual Note competitor? No, not those LG Stylus low end junk, nor that 4:3 phone nonsense. A true Note competitor.

Even better if it comes with a 5 row horizontal slider physical keyboard
