Title: No Coffee Lake refresh coming to the Alienware 13
Post by: Redaktion on July 07, 2018, 14:22:58
Those waiting for a Coffee Lake refresh for the latest Alienware 13 gaming laptop should give up all hope because Frank Azor has just confirmed that such a thing is not in the cards. The models currently available on the market use 6th and 7th generation Intel processors, as well as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050/1050 Ti/1060 graphics.

Very disappointing.

The Dell Alienware 15 R4 (2018) has unergonomic sidebuttons and quite frankly is a big too large.
The XPS 15 9370 (2018) has a dealbreakingly bad keyboard for writers, and Lenovo's only comparitively fast machine the ThinkPad P52 costs well over $4000 if you need the P3200 graphics.

No idea if the ThinkPad P1 will be the long overdue XPS 15 1-to-1 rival, but it may not come out before end of Brexit because Lenovo loves to be almost a year behind competitors with internals.
