Our first Core i5-10300H retail unit is in and, naturally, we've benchmarked the hell out of it. How does Intel's least expensive 10th gen Comet Lake-H CPU compare to the competing AMD Ryzen 7 3750H or Intel's own Core i5-9300H and Core i5-8300H?

It depends on the cooling, because the improvements are there on paper, buy they need serious cooling to be seen in real life.
Why compare a new CPU to an old CPU? Should be i5-10300H vs R5-4600H. The 4600H will not only beats the i5, but will have slightly better overall performance compared to i7-10750H.
hierarchy of a 2020 laptop cpu market:
1. all renoir 8/16 cores/threads. absolute top. desktop level performance in every 1000 usd laptop. a revolution.
2. all renoir 6/12, also 4700u with 8/8 cores/threads. bang for the buck, best buy, you name it.
3. all old 14/14+/12nm 4 cores from both vendors, low-end or bottom midrange, browsing and youtubing.
4. outside the hierarchy: intel desktop processors, which they try to pass off as mobile processors.
(2,5. ice/tiger/renoir 6/6)
Any reason for not include 4000H in the chart?

they have no 4600h on hands.
Unreal that you do not compare Ryzen 4000 CPU's. Just more bias articals
