Title: A TSMC/Foxconn consortium may be just one alternative to NVIDIA's ARM acquisition
Post by: Redaktion on August 07, 2020, 14:23:11
NVIDIA is reportedly in advanced talks with SoftBank to buy ARM for about US$32 billion. However, this is not set in stone, as the seller may have other options. One, according to Nikkei Asian Review, is other firms in this business such as Foxconn and TSMC clubbing together to buy the pivotal architecture IP-holder instead.

Wow, transferring ownership of ARM to Taiwanese companies would significantly increase the incentive for the Party to annex Taiwan through military actions, a possibility no longer distant, unlike a few years ago.
