Title: MSI reveals specs for rebranded Raider line of gaming laptops
Post by: Redaktion on August 24, 2017, 23:05:20
The new line of MSI Raider notebooks now has an official list of specs. They are nothing too extravagant: a 4K display, Intel i7-7700HQ, and a GTX 1070 are the high-end for these new laptops.

I do not think this is a way to introduce a new laptop model to the notebookcheck audience. It is "cold" and confusing in presentation with NO interest, passion, enthusiasm what so ever. Disappointing to read.

QuoteMSI... 4K display

Why are there still articles like these that aren't mentioning the PenTile '4K' display issue? It is fairly well known MSI's tendency to use PenTile (RG/BW) not-true-4K displays in their 15.6" offerings listing that spec, which do not produce the full detail of the resolution, and are commonly regarded to be deceptive marketing.

We. Need. To. Call. This. Out. Especially in articles like these that might be read by a lot of people. Even a simple parenthetical "(we are not certain whether this will be a "true 4K" display or another PenTile display this time around)" will suffice.
