There is a new Raspberry Pi Compute Module in town with the SO-DIMM form factor. The Compute Module 4S combines the Broadcom BCM2711 from the Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 4 Lite in the size of a Compute Module 3+. Moving back to the SO-DIMM form factor presents problems for HDMI and Ethernet connectivity, though.

You got it, chief.
Tinkerer goes like, "Oooooo I'm gonna tinkoooor!"
Why not use the resources to make current models?
There's something else going on here, it can't possibly take this long to get chip manufacturing back up to speed! The whole planet is milking COVID by clearing out old dead stock!
I did a shot each time I read "compute module". My liver now looks like Oprah without makeup.
