Post by: Redaktion on July 06, 2020, 21:03:25
With the Eve Spectrum monitor apparently set for release next quarter, Eve Distribution is continuing to prototype its next Surface alternative with fans. Now the company, formerly known as Eve-Tech, has offered glimpses of several design proposals for its next 2-in-1.

Given the appalling track record with the original product release, I would advise everybody not to risk their money unless the online sale is conducted through online platforms with clear money refund policies for non-delivery or cancellation for delivery delays like Aliexpress, Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, Shopify etc. Even eBay would be safer than trusting those guys!

I wonder how people could hope to at least get a refund(not to mention reimbursement for the time and opportunities wasted) if it doesn't ship again. If Paypal could, like Alipay, withhold the transaction in the form of a full deposit by the buyer until two weeks after the seller ships, when it is assumed that the buyer has received the product, then scammers like this have no place.
However Paypal is a dinosaur with a fossil of a business model that charges the seller insane rates for its services and takes days to "validate" a transaction which is instantaneous thereafter. It charges where it shouldn't, charges rates that it shouldn't(Alipay's rates are lower than Chinese credit cards, which are in turn lower than US credit cards, while Paypal charges what, 2.8%?!), is too slow where it should be fast and is too fast where it should be slow.
Sorry for the rant, just wishing again that Paypal would go bankrupt so the more modern and progressive business models could take over.
