The LG V40 started receiving the Android Pie update last month. Since then, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and even unlocked models of the device have all received their taste of Pie. Not Sprint, though, and users of the Sprint model will likely have been annoyed when they received a new OTA that still didn't bring Pie.

I got the June security patch on Friday about 7 pm EST. I was disappointed. I'm done with sprint. Never again on sprint. I spent 970 dollars on this phone. And even 3rd world countries got the update. And every other version left. And Sprint in the U.S. has not released it. They need to get off their high horse. And get the golden egg and release that lighting in a bottle.

Haha, I feel your pain, mate. I'm also on the Sprint V40 and got the update yesterday morning. It's almost disgusting that there are V40 models still on Oreo.

I been with sprint for 11 years and all i can say is, they are a joke of a company. Not sure why i didnt switched earlier but thank god i did. Screw sprint and their abysmal service. Would not reccomend them to anyone.

WTF

Had Sprint for nearly a decade as a user an as IT support for a company that used Sprint as it's cellular provider. Garbage then and garbage now. Amazed to see them still around. There isn't a big enough price Delta between the better carriers to put up with them anymore. Just stick to Verizon or AT&T and buy unlocked phones.

I chatted with sprint tech support on Thursday he had no clue, and no idea what I was talking about when I asked when they were upgrading to PIE. Finally told me it was only a matter of time. Worthless tech support.
