Huawei has unveiled what could be one of the final few ARM-based chips that the company manufactures. The new HiSilicon Kirin 810 is a solid mid-range chip that also happens to be the first made on a 7nm node.

Node comparisons are quite meaningless unless you specify the exact lithography process. Presumably the Snapdragon 730 uses Samsung's LPU process and the Huawei 810 uses TSMC's 7nm HPC. It would be good to know this, and also clock speeds. Transistor density is very close on both. techcenturion does a good article on fabrication processes.

Huawei is a world class company. We should work with Huawei and learn its advancing technology. Huawei also introduces the much needed completion for Google OS. That is excellent for the world.

I saw the youtube video review about Redmi Note 8 Pro which use Mediatek Helio G90T. And then I saw other youtube video and that's how I found about this Kirin 810.
Honor 9X(China version not the Global version)'s game performance was better than Helio G90T--probably not much better though.
What I was surprised is that Helio G90T and HiSilicon Kirin 810 really perform well and it was really and really cheap.

Now you can buy Honor 9X and Redmi Note 8 Pro for about $210-ish.

Yes, the Kirin 810 isn't getting the attention it deserves. It's just a bit worse than the new SD765G. Huawei hasn't used it a lot, though. Probably didn't make much.
