The Huawei bans prove to be source of concern for industry giants like Intel, Qualcomm and Xilinx, as profit predictions signal significant losses. In order to mitigate such dire consequences, these companies reportedly pressed the U.S. government to lift the restrictions imposed on Huawei.

60% drop? What a chance for them to hide something there. Their international shipments account for only ~50% total, and production is largely unaffected so far. Even if they don't ship a single unit abroad that's not 60%. OTOH domestic consumer enthusiasm is greatly boosted from the official propaganda. A significant bulk of that 60% has to be purely of their own doing, nothing to do with the ban.

Intel and Qualcomm haven't learned a damn thing.  Their greed is what got us in this predicament in the first place.  Righting this wrong is much more important than appeasing the greedy stockholders and this website.

"60% drop in global shipments".

Reading is good.
I think this guy's trying to look smart, but what he's saying would be that "China is not part of the globe", what an amusing notion.

Speaking of myself ; as the trade war began I redirected most of purchases to China. As soon as Huawei was affected I dropped my iPhone in favor of P30 Pro. I could never imagine myself as Huawei guy but I'm capable of radical approach and statement. P30 Pro is a rage.
