The Pigs have flown, Hell hath frozen over. Dell has finally released a new BIOS for the XPS 15 9570 specifically to address the device's DPC latency issues. It would not be an XPS 15 fix without some unintended problems though, right?

- dGPU poll (Nvidia Optimus) issue not fixed, random fans going on all the time under Windows 10 with AC power connected (important, doesnt happen on battery), every single time the dGPU was triggered for some milliseconds (happens randomly all the time, even on idle, opening Edge, Task Manager, right clicking on an EXE in Explorer). Only way as a work around as my knowledge so far is to deactivate the Nvidia GPU in device manager like this: https://i.imgur.com/TcdQmOp.png BUT this then causes a 100% drain with modern standby, how could be other wise... Alternative for this would be using S3... BUT... this then causes a 1.5W permanent drain after waking up. https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/akngpy/incompetent_dell_devs_answer_to_bios_170_fan/

- regarding DPC, ACPI.sys calls seem to be reduced by about 50% as I see it. it spikes still to 600ns though, before this bios it was spiking to 1200ns or more https://i.imgur.com/4xrkZAo.png

- c0% activity bug still present if you use S3 sleep under Windows 10 with a usb device connected (Bluetooth is also USB btw), leading to permanent ~1.5W usage drain until all USB devices removed https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/91313h/xps_15_9570_c_state_bug_after_s3_sleep_and_modern/

- manual fan register set now 100% broken if dGPU is enabled in device manager. making manual fan mode via HwInfo ect NOT WORKING anymore with this bios!

- oversaturated colors still not fixed on 4k model, have to lower color saturation manually by around 25 in the Intel Control panel: https://i.imgur.com/KypizmC.jpg

The issue is definitely not fixed. I updated and the latency is reduced, sure but still not optimal for music producers. It makes the process stuttery and way less fun to make music. I am very much regretting this purchase and there is nothing I can do to get a refund. So, I am stuck with the glitchiest "high end" laptop on the market without any semblance of hope that it will get better. I am positive they are going to make the 9780 and then forget about the older models altogether while we sit here in our technological hell filled with audio glitches, GPU chaos, and wifi disasters that only the Dell XPS can deliver.

I run 2 external monitors from a Tb16 and experience visual drop outs one the machine goes to Sleep and comes back up. I had high hopes that this bios would address it but it appears it doesn't.

Using DELL XPS 15 9560, still hopelessly bad latency with BIOS
1.14.3, this has not been resolved for the last 2 years.  Thanks for the embarrassing inoperative HDMI port on the BIOS release before this one.
ACPI.sys still the main issue.
There must be something drastically wrong with the architecture of the XPS for this not to be resolved, given there have been 2 model releases since the issue was known. Other vendors fix their issues in a timely manner.
