The Apple Watch's built-in heart rate monitoring has helped a user in calling ER at the right time when the smartwatch indicated that his heart rate had suddenly become abnormal. Although the user passed out en route to the hospital and was later diagnosed with SVT, timely alerts from the Apple Watch has ensured prompt response from ER without delay thus, saving his life.

Please amend the article (especially the title), as it is currently very incorrect.

The Apple watch's heart rate monitor did not save the man's life. According to the doctor, what the man had was not life threatening, so it could not be "saved" as it was never in danger.

Please do not propagate falsehoods. I am sure heard rate monitors with alarms will save countless lives in the yars to come but this is not the case in this instance.

Something else to consider: According to the doctor, the man had an extreme case of SVT. It is not unlikely that the man had had similar issues in the past, just not as severe. It is possiblet that the man saw that his heart rate was off, due to the alarm and thought he was having a heart attack, which freaked him out and worsened his condition.
