Honor has been a well-established smartphone manufacturer in Europe for some time now. The Huawei brand also carries a notebook as of late, although it is only available in Asia for the time being. We have procured not one but two variants of the Honor Magicbook and put Intel up against AMD.

Regarding "Temperature ... The analysis of the internal events of the AMD device have proven to be somewhere between difficult and impossible, since both HWInfo as well as the AMD Ryzen Master Tool refused to fullfill their duty."

Did you try uProf ?  developer.amd.com/amd-uprof/

"For now, AMD μProf is the only reliable method."

Paul Review

Since both system have all day battery, why didn't you test the performance of both systems when they are on Battery and Not on AC ?

Did you not expect to see a difference ?

Also, do both system come configured with S0 Low Power Idle (Modern Standby) ?

Thanks

the huawei matebook D 14 2018 is a rebrand of this product?
Seems so, I have this laptop and it looks exactly the same apart from the branding (huawei instead of honor/magicbook) and the keyboard is a bit different as it's a localized one. Bought on sale for 800€ from a retailer in Finland and it is an exceptional piece of hardware at this price point. Thin and light but sturdy. Battery lasts all day in a office setting. Also packs a punch so some light to medium gaming can be done too, although it gets very hot under high load. Also a clean Windows 10 with zero bloatware, which is welcome in this time of manufacturers bundling all sorts of crap in their distributions. Only additional software is PC manager which is a handy tool taking care of BIOS and driver updates from the manufacturer.
Windows was Finnish one and have the warranty as it's an official import.
5/5 Would definitely recommend in the ultrabook category.
