Dell has taken a page from its lauded XPS 15 series to create one of the strongest 15.6-inch narrow-bezel gaming laptops we've seen so far. The brand new design is 38 percent lighter, 17 percent thinner, and 30 percent smaller than the Alienware 15 R4. The system is even 20 percent lighter and 14 percent thinner than the current Alienware 13.

"It wasn't until today that Dell finally made public an Alienware laptop with narrow bezels called the Alienware m15"

It was revealed at gamescon in august  ;)

If it does not support G-Sync then the question is whether there is Optimus implemented. Personally I prefer the old design.

Jam

I don't like the design but it's a good thing that they integrated Optimus and a 90wh battery.
We'll see if this Alienware m15 will be a better option than the Aero 15X.
A 1080 Max-Q version would have been fine too...

Welcome the change but $2,000 is overpricing by a big margin. Unless the hardware it is as good as Aero 15 or Razer Blade with additional stand-out attributes like good speakers. The M15 is already missing lots of essential ports, screen options, an extra M.2 NVMe slot and factory screen calibration all featured in the Aero 15. Then again, value has never been Alienware's strong suit.

Can't wait to see how much this bad boy overheats and throttles.

If they can't get it right in massive chassis, no hope here.

that crappy shiny plastic around screen is a bad pain in a**.
and the other thing why never and no one bring 1440p, 17", oled screen on the bar
that resolution fits properly with 1070
