The prices for the notebooks from Lenovo's budget IdeaPad 300 series start at about 350 Euros ($407). For this, buyers get a well-designed, portable notebook. Our review device with an Optane-accelerated hard drive, Core i5-8250U CPU and Intel UHD Graphics 620 costs 600 Euros ($698). You can learn what you can expect from the laptop with this hardware configuration in our review.

Again one slot for RAM (only max 8Gb is two channel it very poor for W10 with hard surfing), again fake usb-c (no fuctionality for -c - no DP1.2, no PD, no TB3.0). It model NOT support output for 4k monitors/tv.
Bad wi-fi, bad reader, bad IPS (worst vs average TN by contrast).

Not support SATA SSD?

And very worst performance for fast i5 8250U  -20% for average performance for this class notebooks.

Not for office (awful IPS by contrast), not for upgrade, not for perfomance.

For whom is this misunderstanding made?

Total: Epic fail...

I bought my Lenovo 330S i5 on nov 2nd 2018. Only 3 weeks ago.
From beginning I had problems with File Explorer didnt respond.
I thought it was a software issue
I called the technical support in Spain
They told me that the computer is not ok and I have to send it to repair. Averrage time of reparation 2 weeks.
I have to say that it is not nice to start my honey moon with Lenovo this way.

I would not buy again. Number one gripe is low screen brightness. Number two is fan runs a lot even when not doing anything or connected to internet. Number three is the bloatware is constantly trying to connect somewhere but Norton is stopping it, 4300 times in one week.
I do like the case and slender profile, very portable and good looking. Keyboard is good also.

Attention to potential buyers of this series with Intel CPU!

The Intel CPU version does not have 4k @ 60Hz output via HDMI (1.4b) and cannot output HDR data! The Ryzen version has HDMI 2.0b and can output 4k @ 60Hz and HDR. This is a very strong drawback of the version with Intel, because all purchased new monitors - 4k and IPS installed on this series has a shameful color rendition. So if you want to edit a photo / video on a modern 4k monitor, an unpleasant surprise awaits you in the version with Intel! Intel shame!

Is there any way to connect enthernet cable to Lenovo IdeaPad 330S with some additional gadget?

I dropped HP 20 months ago in favour of this model.

Pros: Light and aesthetically pleasing. Good battery life. Quick enough for all day to day business use, web management/design, most types of software.

Cons: Screen not bright enough, Needs at least one more USB port. Awful internal camera.

Issues: Display screen picture often disappears giving way to pink background. Fan churns away despite not doing anything. Keyboard stopped working, first the g & h keys, now the number 7

Solutions: Had to buy an HD camera. Had to buy an external keyboard. Paid 550€ for the laptop in Spain. The camera and keyboard, another 100€.

Future decisions: Lenovo will NOT be an option. I will look again at HP, and will also consider Asus. For 650€ I can quite clearly do better. Previous mobile phones from Lenovo never got past the 2 year mark, I should have heeded the warning signs.
