The Xiaomi Mi A1 gets a new security patch which also fixes the notification LED bug

Xiaomi's popular mid-range Mi A1 smartphone continues to receive full software support, the latest update for this handset bringing the official security patch dated August 5. Even better, the new firmware also addresses the notification LED bug that arrived earlier this summer with the Android 8.1 Oreo update.

Mi A1 is lagging after applying July 2018 Patch. I did factory reset and also Service center performed Factory reset. System is still lagging. I thought applying August 2018 patch may fix the issue. So I applied the August patch and the lagging continues. I called Mi support who could not give me a complaint number. I tried all possible setup tweaks and still the phone is slow on all apps. (It takes 2 minutes to start the app and August patch took 2 hours to apply and I have 100 MBS Airtel FTTH at home)

Any idea?

There should be no need for a factory reset. Maybe there's some hardware-related problem? Do you have the 3 GB RAM variant? Mine is the 4 GB/64 GB one and seems to be running fine so far.
