Although Intel is very quiet with the details, independent sources confirmed that the new 10 nm processor is based on a 71 mm Cannon Lake die. Its die includes a 45 x 24 mm CPU area and a 47 mm chipset. Unfortunately, due to the troublesome manufacturing process, Intel will not be able to mass produce the new chip before the end of the year.

It's a genuine shame that all of that high-end process tech hasn't actually lead to them being able to produce a competitive CPU in anything approaching reasonable quantities.

its all a scam. Intel had the next 15 years planned. They are just milking "8th" gen now, because AMD forced their hand. Its a shame, Corporate GREED is stifling innovation in all realms of life. culturally, socially, technologically being brainwashed by money machines.

I wouldn't go that far in the future, but I must agree that Moore's Law has been pushed under the blanket by corporate greed...
