The HTC U12+ has no headphone jack and yet isn't shipped with a 3.5mm to Type-C adapter

HTC has confirmed that its newly released U12+ flagship will not ship with a 3.5mm to Type-C adapter, and that is wrong for all sorts of reasons.

Well, why providing something that the user can buy with its own money ?

And who needs a headphone ? These days, any monkey seems to prefer using the phone speakers to bother everyone around him/her with stupid music...

No offense intended but I think it's a shame you think that way. OEMs shouldn't be getting away with leaving users with the short end of the stick, which is exactly what this is. While its understandable that Type-C is quickly becoming the standard in the industry, the least an OEM can do is to ease the transition for users.

Agreed. I'm a big fan of HTC hardware but some of the decisions the company has made in the recent past are rather baffling.
