Microsoft is set to move the Windows 10 S concept across all new PCs shipping later this year. The move may drive down the price of PCs, but could also drive up market confusion as a result.

Its actually awesome because you get W10 on entry level cheaper(if not free), so they can stand against android/... alternative, which can you use today for most of tasks you can do in W10.

It's nothing personal against Microsoft - the so called jouranlists of the mainstream media (including Notebookcheck) believe that they have an evangelistic duty to spread the domination of Apple - Microsoft is the easiest target - and the thing that stands between Apple and PC domination so they whine hysterically about "confusing" and "muddy the water" to stifle anything that is against Apple.  Remember the idiotic shrieks of "fragmentation" about early Androids?

This is great news. I am sick and tired of paying MS money when I remove windows and install linux anyway.

I see why MS is doing it as well. More and more people will end up staying in S version and their app store will kick off as devs will be forced to publish thier apps. Then take a cut of all the softwares sold through app store.

MS being the greedy decitful MS. Nothing new.
