This could be good. I wonder if it has any implications for screen burn-in too.

And my biggest issue with current AMOLED smartphone displays that I wonder if will be addressed in this is their common use of the PenTile RG/BG matrix, which creates spurious resolution specs, and can be considered deceptive marketing. A "2560x1440" PenTile AMOLED (Samsung Note series) has higher contrast but lower sharpness than a 2560x1440 true-RGB IPS LCD (LG G-series). Both aspects I find noticeable, and I would rather see true 1080p before not-true-1440p for a lot of reasons.
