The HP Spectre x360 will be one of the first ultrabooks to ship with both an 8th-generation Intel Kaby Lake-R CPU and an Nvidia Pascal-based MX150 GPU. US customers can pre-order the device now for a September 7 shipping date.

Are you not perhaps confusing the Spectre x360 with the Envy x360? In this article, the photo of the Spectre x360, and the link to it in the text, both link actually to your previous review of the Envy x360, not the Spectre. And I can't find any pre-ordering of any new Spectre x360 anywhere outside this article. So it seems like you've probably confused the two models?

The link in the article is incorrect but the article is correct in saying it is the spectre http://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/laptops/spectre-x360-344520--1#!

Both the Envy and Spectre lines are currently shipping certain models with the MX150 dGPU.

Thanks. What do you think are the chances of the Spectre x360 13 also getting this quad core revamp on this cycle? Is it a question of maybe not having enough cooling in the 13" model, do you think? And am I correct in understanding the stats, that 4k color reproduction is notably superior on the Spectre 13 screen compared with the 15t?
